Not at all surprising considering how many elements of popular culture have been minimizing or attacking the roles of parenting in general and motherhood specifically, and setting "self-fulfillment" and careers up as the ultimate goal, again, especially for women.

This just in, Obama is planning an outdoor election night celebration in Chicago, hoping to attract 1,000,000 people to hear the newly elected Anointed One. Wonder what that will cost. This, in a city with a multimillion dollar budget deficit and mass layoffs of city employees.

Wow, after reading these comments I can't say how refreshing it will be for Obama and his supporters to win in November so the country can put all the meanness and dumbness of the last eight years of Neo-Con/Fascist/Racist/Sexist/Nazi and generally naughty behavior behind us and usher in a new era …

Let's see, the day after Biden declares that we will have an international crises if Obama is elected, that headline is nowhere to be found. What do we find instead? The GOP spent money on Palin's wardrobe. Such quality journalism, such in depth coverage of the issues, such investigative prowess.
